Bridal & Wedding Makeup
Planning for your big day
Planning and being part of your special day is a privilege for me. My calm and fun manner will help to steady your nerves and make sure that everything goes well.
Wedding trials
A trial is usually booked 2-6 months prior to the wedding and typically lasts for between 90 minutes and 2 hours. It is an opportunity for us to discuss ideas that you have for your desired look and to ensure that you are happy with the proposed look. Please feel free to provide prior to the trial any photos from magazines etc of styles that you like. At the end of the trial, a record is made of the chosen look to ensure that it is re-created lovingly and accurately on the big day.
On the day
On the big day, I will visit you at our pre-arranged venue which is usually either your home, a hotel or the wedding venue. You can simply sit back, relax and enjoy the experience as I do my magic. I can provide the makeup service to the whole wedding party, including bridesmaids and mother of the bride or groom if required.
Next steps
Please contact me to discuss your requirements. Alternatively, if you complete the booking form, I can send you a proposal and quote (without obligation).
I look forward to hearing from you.

I would recommend that you book as early as possible to secure the date of your choice. At peak times I get booked up extremely quickly.
While it is always advisable to book a trial prior to the wedding day, it is entirely at your discretion. This fee is non-refundable.
Most brides book a trial around 3-6 months before the wedding day. I take a photographic record of your chosen look as a reminder and as a reference point.
Every client is unique, but an estimation of the time is:
- Trial – up to 3 hours
- Bridal makeup – up to 2.5 hours
- Makeup on additional people – up to 1 hour
On the day of your trial, it’s best to not wear any makeup, as this will allow me to accurately assess your skin and foundation colour.
We will discuss suitable skin care routines with you in preparation for the big day.
If you have some ideas of what you would like, please feel free to bring some pictures with you. Alternatively, I can go through ideas with you.
If you are able to provide a photo of your dress and any colour themes for your big day, it would be very helpful. If you are able to wear a top for the trial that roughly corresponds to the dress colour it will help with ensuring that everything works well together.
The final look will be photographed and documented. The products used are noted to ensure the chosen look is replicated perfectly on the big day.
On the big day, please ensure that you have no makeup on and that your hair is dry.
This is your big day so sit back and relax, and leave it to the professional to make you look and feel fabalous.
Yes, I do simple hair styling. If you have more complex requirements, I would recommend you book a separate hair stylist. However, we can discuss this on an initial consultation.
I can provide a range of eyelash options for a small additional cost
The makeup application will last the duration of your event (8-10 hour wear). I use proper skin care and priming products prior to applying any makeup. The makeup is set and finished with professional powders and sprays that seal in the makeup in place.
I always arrive in plenty of time i.e. early! This ensures that I have sufficient time to setup my kit. Ideally this should be somewhere with good light and sufficient space for me to work. A table nearby would be useful.
I will then run through with you what I’m doing prior to commencing the magic. I like to keep things nice and relaxed with a nice calming atmosphere.
Yes, I have experience of working with lots of different skin types. For particularly sensitive skin, Jane Iredale Mineral foundation can be an excellent choice. Alternatively, I can work with your own makeup.
I would particular recommend a trial if you have concerns over your skin.
Please ensure that I am notified of any sensitivities or allergies that you have.
It’s never happened to me in 20 years but should it ever happen, I will arrange for an equally qualified Makeup Artist to complete the services for the same agreed upon terms of payment. They will receive a brief and any products required that they might not have in their kit. If I am unable to find a replacement artist, a 100% refund is provided.
